Practice Graphics Universal and Position Specific Standards for Soccer Performance Standards: A Short Story in Three Acts
As a member of the All Star Selection Committee your task is to select one player for each of the following positions:
Forward, Midfielder, Fullback, Goalie.

Use the Universal Performance Standards and Position Specific Performance Standards when selecting your players.
Standards that apply to all soccer players (for example, # of practices missed, or grade average in school) are Universal Performance Standards. Other standards vary depending the players position. For example, a Goalie's job is to stop goals, while a Forward's job is to score goals. These are examples of Position Specific Performance Standards.



Universal Performance Standards
*  C grade average or higher.
*  No more than 2 yellow cards per season.
*  No more than 1 red card per season
*  Missed no more than 2 practices per season
*  Missed no more than 1 game per season


Position Specific Performance Standards
Forwards
   Number of goals scored
  Number of goals assisted
  Team player

Midfielders
   Number of goals scored
  Number of goals assisted

Fullbacks
   Number of plays scrambled
Number of goals scored
Number of goals assisted
  Goalies
   Goals against average
(shots on goal/goals made)
Team player
